Objectives: In order to understand our health professional school nursing specialty body class, through the curriculum, teachers, teaching methods and means, student assessment and research facilities, the nursing profession in shaping class problems and propose appropriate measures were researched, providing the basis of the health care professional body in vocational teaching and development workings.Methods: The nurses, students and teachers,from Ningbo city health professional colleges,were selected as the subject of an investigation. The methods were used,including document-data method, interviewing method, questionnaire survey, logical analysis and statistical method, to learn their professional body of teaching status.Results: (1)The nurses, students, and teachers all thought that nursing majors physique required course was necessary;(2)The content of teaching and the nursing profession had a higher grade, but almost no such basic actions as the shape and form the basic qualities, the shape gymnastics, yoga, and so the total body training content, only 12 hours to school; (3)No specialized body training materials were used, teachers thought that only a small portion of the materials were matched; (4)The body shape teachers are nursing teachers, the teaching quality was meeted with their most students. But the job did not match their majority. Most students wished that professional body for teachers could teach them, Teacher's gender distribution was not reasonable ,considering university-based academic structure; (5)Teaching methods were traditional, students reflected that teaching form was single, participate in innovative practice was less, method was dull(;6)There was no placement test and less process evaluation, and the final examination was emphasized, most students was not satisfied with the test methods(;7)The athletic ground and education aids could not meet with the needs of the class. Conclusions and recommendations: conclusions: (1)Compulsory courses was necessary for the nursing students; (2)The present course content and the nursing specialized, should take the core in the course, but single and the total learning time was few, it was difficult for the students to learn and master body-shaping training basic knowledge and skills, therefore, it failed to meet the requirements of shaping a good physical figure. (3)Without a professional body-shaping teaching book, it was difficult to guarantee the quality of teaching(;4)The quality of body-shaping's teacher was reasonable, but was lack of reasonable allocation, aslo their education level needs to be improved;(5)Teaching methods were too limited, which greatly affect students's interest in training ; (6)Student course evaluation was not scientific, lacking diagnostic evaluation, and most of the attention was only paid to the end of the evaluation, lacking enough formative evaluation; (7)There was a certain disparity in facilities for body-shaping training.Recommendations(:1)A professional body-shaping teaching book needed to be compiled for teaching in professional nursing and teaching content should be enriched and the hours should be arranged scientificly and reasonably;(2)Full-time teachers needed to be introduced and be trained to form a capable teaching staff of reasonable age, position, educational level and gender structure(;3)Implement layered teaching, situational learning and online teaching and other forms and means to enrich teaching methods and means; (4)Forming an assessment mechanism with comprehensive examination on the content, diversified evaluation criteria and forms;(5)Establishing standardized body-shaping venues fully equipped training equipment to improve teaching conditions of body-shaping courses.
