In the past year, the incidence of sports injury among college students in GuangZhou was 51.0%. The athletic injuries rate of male was 58.1% and the female was 48.3%. In 1868 sports injury students,63.7% was hurt once,18.7% was twice and 17.5% was more than three times. The locations of injury were primary in ankle joint (27.4%) and hand (15.1%); Types of injuries distributed mainly in Skin wound (28.2%), joint(20.9%),ligament(17.3) and muscle (17.2%) traumas following by, and the percentages of tendon and bone traumas were the lowest, accounting for 8.6%,and 7.8%. Basketball and soccer had positive correlation with injury (P=0.000). Average numbers of weekly exercise and average time for each exercise of injuried group were larger. It was prone to injure while doing sport at afternoon; In addition, the material of sports field, whether crowded in sports field,warming-up and school health promotion education had relevant to the coccurrence of sports injuries (P<0.05). The occurrence of sports injuries had the positive relation with the coping styles and sociability personality (P<0.05).4. The results of multinomial logistic regression showed as follow:Six types of injuries were relevant to basketball, football and doing exercise in sick or injured (OR>1).The occurrence of skin wound, joint and bone traumas in female were less than that of male. Daily average time of sleep in tendon injury were longer. Participating in track and field and martial art were risk factors of muscle injuries.5. Factor analysis and canonical correlation analysis showed that:doing exercise in sick, injured or fatigue had positive correlations with the times, charactors, seriousness and recovery of injuries; Age, the time of doing exercise showed positive relation with the times of injuries; doing exercise outdoor or playing basketball were the risk factors of lower extremity injury, as well as joint, ligament and bone injury.Conclusion1. The overall rate of athletic injuries in Guangzhou college students was high.2. Male, ankle, hand, acute skin and joint injury were the common injuries in Sports injuries among college students; 43% was more than twice injury; serious tendon and bone injury could been seem.3.
