Objectives:Parkinson's disease(PD) is a kind of degenerative of the central nervous system in the middle-age and old age.With the ageing of the population development,its high incidence and morbidity harmed the human health seriously.The treatment of PD is very difficult.Up to the present,there is not a therapy that could cure PD totally.As a typical movement disorders,the main performance of PD is four classic sports symptoms(Static tremor,rigidity,bradykinesia and postural balance obstacles).But not to be ignored is,The vast majority of patients with non-motor smptoms in the advanced stage of disease,which include psychological problems,sleep disturbance,autonomic dysfunction.The objectives of this research is to preliminarilye valuate the clinical efficacy of Ding Chan Tang (experimental prescription my tutor-Professor gu) on non-motor symptoms of PD.This research may provide basis for the Traditional Chinese Medical(TCM) recognition of non-motor symptoms of PD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia),for summarizing and generalizing TCM therapy on non-motor symptoms of PD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia),and for exploitation of new drugs.Methods:This research is prospective controlled trial.All the forty six qualified patients come from non-motor symptoms of PD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia) special out-patient.These patients were grouped into two groups with their will:twenty three in Group A,twenty three in Group B.Therapy of Group A was:Decoction ofDing Chan Tang,PO,one dose QD,and taking past drugs:therapy of Group B was only taking past drugs orally,the dose was as same as the formerly dosage.Observing cycle of the two groups were both three months.SPSS15.0 software was used to handle datum.T test was used to handle quantitative datum and rank sum test was used to handle categorical datum.The test ran referring to the test requirement rigorously.All cases of EG and CG has not been lost.Results:When the trail was over,the availability percentage of EG is 65.21%,while that of CG is 30.43 %.The difference is significant(p<0.05).These indicate that the curative effect of treatment of EG is superior to that of CG.2,Ding Chan Tang is an good effective prescription for non-motor symptoms of PD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia),especially at the sleep disturbance,autonomic dysfunction and gastrointestinal smyptoms.4,The treatment of the non-motor symptoms of PD(Syndrome of kidney and liver yin asthenia) didn't discover obvious adverse reactions.5, Inadequacy of this research:The sample size is small,which influences the deduction of conclusion: all patients of EG and CG taked past drugs,therefore,the inadequacy exists in a certain degree for the efficacy assessment.
