The Study Of The Course System And The Teaching Approach Reform In Comprehensive University Preventive Medical

Purpose This dissertation aims at establishing the new course system and teaching approach of preventive medicine so as to produce medical personnel in accordance with the health development trend of the 21^st century. It is argued that the traditional biomedical science-based course system for the preventive medicine should be reformed and that the synthetic discipline- resources of the comprehensive university should be taken full advantage of. Suggestions for optimalizing the course structure and content of courses and renovating the teaching methods are provided.Method Firstly, based on the contemporary theories of higher medical education course systems and teaching approaches, the dissertation conducts a comparative study of current conditions of higher preventive medicine education domestically and abroad so as to probe into the problems of the course systems and teaching approaches commonly practiced in preventive medicines programs in Chinese comprehensive universities. Second, comparison of the course systems of preventive medicine programs between comprehensive universities and medical colleges is made to show the necessity for reforming the course system and teaching approach in preventive medicines programs in Chinese comprehensive universities. Finally, suggestions for optimalizing the course structure and content of courses and renovating the teaching methods are provided to meet the demands of recent development of the preventive medicine course in our nation.
