Study On Practice Teaching Status And Evaluation Index On Practical Effectiveness Of Preventive Medicine Undergraduate Students

Objective: To know status and problems of practice teaching of undergraduate students for Preventive Medicine and to achieve standardized management of practice teaching in one medical university Xinjiang for improving quality of practice teaching.Method: 1)Surveyed Preventive Medicine undergraduate students who finished internship,collage teachers and staff in practice teaching bases by self-made questionnaires from April 2016 to June 2017.2)Build an evaluation index of practice effective by literature searching,then 20 experts from related fields involved in two rounds of Delphi consultation through post letter or email from April to June in 2017 to insure evaluation index and methods of practice effective of Preventive Medicine undergraduate students,index weight would be ensured using coefficient of variation.Result: 1)Satisfaction with internship schedule of teaching bases staff,collage teachers and students were respectively 66.5%,74.5%and 54.9%,and familiarity with practice teaching content of them were 56.1%,45.6%and 73.05%.2)During practical period,93%of teaching bases staff met trainers once and above per week,and asked trainers to collect and analyze data and files,be as assistants during field working or the lab.Trainers were mainly trained in the aspects of professional knowledge and technology,professional spirit,knowledge of management and social mobilization,and knowledge and skill of information management.Skills and knowledge above four aspects of trainers were enhanced through practice and should be strengthened in the future.3)Familiarity with content of practice teaching assessment of teaching bases staff and collage students were 36.5%and 48.8%.Satisfaction with content of practice teaching assessment of teaching bases staff,collage teachers and students were respectively 68.8%,63.4%and 73.11%,and reasons for non-satisfaction of them were assessment indictors imperfection,and lack of objective ones.4)Experts coefficient of the second round was 0.82 and expert coordination coefficient was 0.5(P<0.05).Evaluation index included 40 indictors and covered 7 domains,such as Medicine theories and methods,Preventive Medicine theories and methods,professional theories and skills,theories and methods on health management and social mobilization,scientific research abilities,comprehensive quality and work attendance.There were 6 evaluation methods of practice effectiveness including written examination(W),W+operation(P),W+daily performance(D),oral examination+D,oral examination and operation.Conclusion: 1)Practice teaching instructors have less experience and qualification standard of practice teaching instructor is lower.Arrangement of practice teaching is reasonable,but trainers and practice teaching bases staff have lower awareness rate and satisfaction rate about assessment content,and assessment indicators for practice teaching are deficient.2)The assessment index and methods on practice effectiveness of Preventive Medicine undergraduate students have better practical application value.
