Purpose:To study and analysis the characteristics and needs of theoncology clinic of the outpatients who come first from the AffiliatedHospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Material and method:Continuous selected in June2013to July,director of Liaoning Provincial Hospital of Oncology, Professor Yin’s100newly outpatient cancer patients (including theirre-appointment),Use Microsoft Excel tabulation to countbasic data of thepatients, the incidence of the site, accepted by Western medicinetreatment, diagnosis, treatment needs, and other aspects of the generalcondition,to summarize the characteristics to diagnosis and treatmentneeds of oncology outpatients.Results:1.By primary tumor location, the number of visits were ranked the top threelung cancer (22cases), breast cancer (22cases), liver cancer (11cases).67patients had surgical treatment,37patients presented with recurrenceand metastasis.2.The statistics to diagnosis patients (including its re-appointment),almost all patients have to take the wishes of Chinese Herbal Medicine.Which simply taking Chinese Herbal Medicine Treatment29cases; with10cases after taking Chinese Herbal Medicine; with radiotherapy andchemotherapy45cases; with15cases of endocrine therapy; with biologicaltherapy three cases; with three cases of targeted therapy; combined withinterventional therapy in2cases.3. For these patients,52were simply to require taking Chinese HerbalMedicine for the purpose. In addition to asking the rest of the patientstaking the medicine Pieces, but also includes the diagnosis:6 people;Western medicine treatment efficacy evaluation:22; discusstreatment options change:2.4.By normal state (Zubrod-ECOG-WHO, ZPS) score, patients ZPS0-2pointsaccounted67%, ZPS3-4of33%. For patients with advanced Western medicine can not be effectivelytreated, Chinese medicine treatment in reducing clinical symptoms andimprove the quality of life have their unique advantages.For liver Qistagnation treatment of patients, Professor Yin Dongfeng think we shouldfocus on adjusting qi.3.Demand for treatment of oncology outpatients are more and more, inaddition to taking Chinese Herbal Medicine, also includes the diagnosis,treatment efficacy evaluation Western to discuss changes to programs,treatment should be based on their individual circumstances, the Chineseand Western medicine treatment Sequential reasonable arrangements havebeen optimal therapeutic effect.
