Research On HX_D1 LOCOTROL Testing Platform

Currently,the train which is operated in 20k ton modes on DaQin rail line are driven by two HX_D1 electrical locomotives.LOCOTROL system,a fully integrated distributed power control package,will be installed into each unit of the HX_D1 locomotives.It provides full control of a lead and up to three remote locomotives distributed throughout a train.The LOCOTROL system integrates with the traction system,pneumatic locomotive brake system and various locomotive controls to control both the lead and remote locomotives in a synchronous mode of operation.In this paper, a platform is designed to test both the LOCOTROL system and the modules.This paper firstly introduces LOCOTROL system and the modules of the LOCOTROL system's principle.Then relation amond the modules is introduced so as to summarize the types of the control siganals of the HX_D1 type locomotives.Finally,the LOCOTROL test platform which is consist of the Module Test and the System Test is designed basing on the above conclusions.The Module Test is aiming at the testing of PDM,RIM,CPM and MIPM,while the System Test is aiming at the simulation of the train's running situation.The Module Test which is based on DSP is designed to test the function of the modules,such as PDM,RIM,CPM and MIPM.All of these results are sent to computer through CAN bus.The System Test is based on MVB controller.With the signals sampled by PCI-8325A,it simulates LOCOTROL's working process and checks whether the system works properly or not.The monitor will show the whole real-time process.This platform makes the test centralized and visually.Testing results are expressed by Fig.s and Tab.s.Therefor,the platform is as manageable as the one on HX_D1.The platform that is designed by VC Language provides a interface for man-machine conversation.A standard interface is provide so as to make the modules connect to the platform easily and reliably.The program is divide into several blocks so that it can be read and update conveniently.
