In recent years, auto accidents have caused a large number of casualties and economic loss in the whole world, which force governments and automobile enterprises to invest much manpower and material resources to vehicle safety research .Especially in our country, due to the reasons of population and road condition, car accident rates are rising sharply year-by-year. Further more, people now pay more attention to vehicle safety performance than before. All these factors make it urgent for us to establish strict vehicle safety regulations and attach much importance to the field of scientific research to enhance safety.It is one of the key problems that study of passive safety of an automobile that passenger protecting in the front impact. The airbag has already widely applied to Motor as a kind of effective protecting measure, but in preventing passenger from occurring while colliding damaging and death seriously, it leads to damage the face of passage sometimes while the airbag is launched .In order to improve the protecting result of the airbag further, this paper has carried on analyzing and researching to key element and problem involved of the safe gasbag system. This paper studies the development level of vehicle crash, method of test research and relevant regulation. It also introduces some vehicle crash methods and test equipments.Then, this paper introduces the drawback (expensive, time waste and pollution) of the traditional airbag static experimental system, and present a new airbag deployment system mainly consisted with an air compressor, pressure vessel and solenoid valve. The whole system use compressed air as the inflow gas source. Through calculating the key parameter of the pressure vessel outlet diameter, limit the gas flow rate into the airbag during deployment. In order to guarantee the experiment effects, establish the environment condition requisition and regulate the experiment operating procedures. Using finite element method, simulate the airbag deployment in computer by inputting the experiment data. Experiment result proves that the system decrease the cost, save the test time and have no pollution. Combination with the Hybrid III dummy, the system can also be used in OOP test research.
