By the matching of airbag of some type of car, we researched the testing method of the match of airbag. 14 cars had been tested. At the first we got data of base parameter like acceleration speed of the body of the car through basement test, and then we got burst threshold time. After that we did calibration test to verify if it is correct for the burst time. The airbag bursted in the test but the burst time was set by experimentalist. After the calibration test, the burst time can be accurately got. Confirm tests need to verify that the airbag burst on the right time according to the burst time threshold after the installation of the controlling ECU. Different collision configurations and collision speed can affect the bursting of the airbag, so different tests should be taken to verify the right burst of the airbag. We set several test conditions as 100% rigid collision at speed of 16km/h, 50km/h, left 30 degree rigid collision at speed of 35km/h, 50km/h, pole rigid collision at speed of 33km/h, 40% offset deform barrier collision at speed of 56km/h.Through the analysis of the data of the tests,we derived a conclusion that a suitable airbag can be matched through the three steps of tests as basement test, calibration test, and confirm test.
