Passive safety not only acts as the last protective barrier to the driving safety of the drivers,but also serves as an important performance index of the vehicle,is attracting more and more consumers' attention.In recent years,side-impact as one of the most numerous types of collision,which has a high mortality rate.The accident mortality rate is second only to that of frontal collision,which poses a serious threat for driving safety of drivers.The curtain airbag can protect driver's head effectively when a side collision occurs,forming an effective protection between driver's head and vehicle body,substantially reducing the driver's injury caused by the secondary collision.The research on the curtain airbag in the vehicle side collision has practical significance.This project is used LS-DYNA to analyze CAE modeling and simulation of curtain airbag at component level,including tank test,static detonation test and drop test,and comparing with the test video and data.Making a CAE modeling and simulation analysis of the constraint system level of curtain airbag by MADYMO and optimize the results after the comparison of simulation and vehicle test results in order to achieve the best protection performance.First of all,designed geometric shape of curtain airbag by CATIA,and imported the result data into HYPERMESH for finite element pre-treatment of static detonation test.Imported the curve of mass flow rate and temperature obtained by Tank test into HYPERMESH and defined the airbag with CV method,after calculated by the LS-DYNA solver,outputted the simulation animation and correlation curves with post-processing software LS-PREPOST from the result file and compared with test results.Consider airbag expansion time and thickness from static detonation test as input information,According to the above steps,making a CAE simulation analysis of the drop test,and compared the simulation animation and correlation curves with the test results.Secondly,the restraint system simulation model is created by MADYMO.The model includes the curtain airbag based on the GASFLOW method,the PSM side-impact model,the belt model,the seat model and the ES2 dummy model.Applied the impact acceleration curve obtained from vehicle test on the simulation model and make an impact simulation test in MADYMO.The test results arrive at head acceleration curves and HIC36 values.Finally,the optimization direction and method of restraint system in this subject are determined according to the insufficient protection to dummy of the vehicle restraint system equipped with curtain airbag.The variable parameters of key optimization are determined through sensitivity analysis of the vehicle restraint system.The final restraint system parameters are determined by the range analysis method based on orthogonal test.
