Based on the investigation of the three kinds of special education school around the Hangzhou city, the paper analyses the main design points of the special education school according to the stages in the common design process from site-plans to the architecture and then to the details. These stages include Location selected; Site-plan design; function space's Structure, Organizing and Design; Non-barrier design. And in each stage, the paper always embarks from disabled-children's physiology and the psychological characteristic, and puts the emphasis on the particularity of the special education school which compares with the ordinary education schools (special education schools' general design), as well as the particularity among the three kinds of different special education school (school for the blind person, school for the dead person, school for mental handicapped), and use the feedback information from the investigations on the explanation and the illustration. Finally, the paper use the compound special education school - Special education school in Wunzhou city - as an application sample, of which I have taken part in the design process.The paper persisted the inseparable relations between the theory research and the application practice. In simple words the entire paper's analysis process is from application to research, then again from research to application.
