Study Of The Mordern Residential Community Environment Design

Along with the intensifying urbanization in recent years, city territory changes with each passing day. The newly-built residential communities have become an important part of urban construction. With the large-scale urban construction and renovation, people have come to realize the importance of improving environment and quality of life. Residential environment is closely connected with people's life and concern and regard for the quality of living environment of human being have been enlisted as one of the principles for human habitat construction (Wu Liangyong, 2001). Meanwhile, living environment, a key component in the commercial development of residential communities, possesses commercial, cultural and behavioral attributes and is developing with the pace of time. Therefore, it is necessary to outline the developmental stages and summarize characteristics of the residential environment in the past 20 years ever since China's reform and opening in light of the national condition as well as residential development, planning and design theories from abroad. In this paper, design objectives, principles and features of the living space are expounded by using the system theory, landscape ecology and relevant urban planning and design theories. The environmental design pattern and language for the landscape of modern residential community in China are establishedBased on the definition and connotation extension of the relevant concepts, a research on the development of residential community space at home and aboard and the theories about residential community was carried out. Especially, through the study of the environment development of residential community in the past twenty years ever since China's reform and opening, a four-stage argument was originally proposed.
