In time of transforming old city, to choose adding stories to the existing building or building a new one due to the criterion of valuation. Techno-economy valuation methods about adding stories to the existing building have been summed up in this article. Such as Needleman method, Pugh method, All-in cost method, input-output method, value engineering method etc. The characteristic and using condition of every kind of methods have been expounded. A mathematic model of multi-project techno-economy valuation has been made, and the mathematic model has been verified through realistic engineering. By using analytic hierarchy process method, qualitative analysis quantitative analysis are used to decide multi-object project, and a subsidiary model has been set .To be as analytic mentality and method of dealing with this kind of question, it has certain practical value.
