Nowadays,our national strength has become stronger and stronger,the social devel opment level of people's livelihood has been improved steadily.In the late of last century,galvanized steel pipes which had taken the unique advantages in the water conveying pip es' market have been back out of the optimization of domestic water supply pipes und er the guidance of national policy and market competition mechanism,owing to causing lots of water quality problems.Instead of new pipe materials such as Plastic Pipe, Pla stic- metal Composite Pipe and Construction of Thin- wall Stainless Steel that pure meta l pipes that have taken its place.Thanks to various high-tech equipment, innovative techn ology and the emergence of new materials that there are various types of water pipeline,w hich brings us great convenience as well as difficulties in making choice.With the improvement of living standard,common people are paying more and mo re attention to the quality of life and healthy quality of tap water in their family.But now,most water supply pipes are selected subjectively and mindlessly. how to making choice is lack of scientific and reasonable method.Therefore,in the Residential Design,how to choose a technical and reasonable method in selecting water supply pipes is much necessary.The article is applying value engineering combined with analytic hierarchy process to compare and select the project of water supply pipes which is used in high-rise r esidential buildings,the mainly works of analysis and research are below:After recalling these days the development of history and the application of new pi pe materials at home and abroad, firstly, the article which makes a brief description of several kinds of mainstream water supply pipes in the design market in our country at present,explaining the advantages and disadvantages, technical function parameters a nd application performance of all kinds of pipes,laying the theoretical foundation for t he application of value engineering and analytic hierarchy process.Secondly,in the article,the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is applied to the speci fic engineering for example, in which the author participated in the design. After the brief introduction of engineering project, the article puts forward to 3 alternative sche mes of water supply pipeline according to the pipe primary selection principle.Then,usi ng the function of Value Engineering analysis that combined with technology system f unction diagram to select the water supply pipe alternative project.Technology system f unction diagram has a clear structural hierarchy, with a scientific and rational logic, ca n be used to each other with the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) hierarchical structure model.Using the Value Engineering Theory,the article is making a evaluation on the fun ction of the alternative pipes. the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) can be used to c onstruct a judgment matrix.Owing to the data processing method and using this way to obtain the importance and weight of each function.After that, "0-10 scoring method" will be used.Representatives of the construction unit, the drainage of professional de sign engineers and construction unit representatives are grouped together scoring for th e alternative pipe of each function to get the function coefficient.According to the inst allation cost's guide prices of all kinds of local water supply pipe in Linxia city, Gan su Province,combined with the actual quantity,it can get that alternative pipe cost, then using the Relative Value method it can calculate the cost coefficient;Finally,using the Value Engineering Theory,it can calculate the value coefficient of each alternative pip e, according to the level of the coefficients of the selected pipes, the highest one is t he optimal solution of this high-rise residential engineering's best water supply pipe.In this article, two different theoretical tools-value engineering and analytic hierarc hy process(AHP) are creatively combined with together to analyze the old problems i n the scientific selection of water supply pipe which has not been attached great impo rtance in daily design.The design of this paper is to help the designers, the constructi on units and owners, on the basis of qualitative and quantitative,to make a more objective,reasonable choice in selecting the alternative water supply pipe material project of tec hnical and economic performance that make the design tend to be more scientific and r easonable.
