As a new type of construction method,modular building has the advantages of high productivity,high integration and reduced environmental pollution level,thus it has been widely used in China.However,its construction cost is still high compared with traditional buildings,and the traditional construction cost management model is no longer applicable to modular buildings.EPC engineering general contracting model has the advantages of simple contractual relationship,low owner involvement and reduced investment,etc.In view of this,this paper combines the cost control of modular building projects with the EPC model,which will help to reduce the construction cost of modular buildings.This paper mainly accomplishes the following work:1.Through extensive reading of relevant literature,we discuss modular building and EPC management mode,and explain the current status of domestic and international research on modular building and EPC management mode.The research contents,research methods used,technical lines,research bases and novelties of this paper are also discussed.2.The concepts related to EPC model and modular building are introduced,and the advantages of EPC turnkey management model and modular building are summarized.After that,the specific calculation steps of hierarchical analysis and fuzzy hierarchical analysis are elaborated.The application of hierarchical analysis and fuzzy hierarchical analysis is emphasized to provide the theoretical basis for the whole process cost control analysis in the following case.3.The key contents of cost management in the three stages of EPC project design,procurement and construction are summarized.The specific composition of costs under different stages is also studied,and the cost factors affecting modular construction are clarified,laying the foundation for identifying and analyzing the influencing factors of cost management.4.Fuzzy hierarchical analysis(FAHP)was used to calculate the comprehensive evaluation index weights for modular building cost control,and the total project evaluation result score was 86.2519,which was at a good level,while the scores of other factors in the design stage,the location of the production plant in the procurement stage and the technical factors in the component production and construction and installation stages were 85.3986,85.9281,85.3023,85.0354,all in good and all lower than the comprehensive evaluation score,for the comprehensive quantitative score of factors lower than the overall project score,the corresponding improvement measures are proposed.
