As a critical infrastructure in the national economic system, Port is an important platform for regional economic development as well as plays an important role in regional economy, especially in the development of integrated logistics system. However, the port is not an isolated item, along with economic development, especially the development of an integrated transport system, the ports cluster system as a whole, influenced each others more and more.The research object of this paper is the 16 ports of the Yangtze River delta port group. Through the analysis of impact between the various ports within the port group, the main items that affect the efficiency of the port group and the impact of the port hinterland on the throughput of the port group, this paper explores the advise on the allocation of resources within the 16 ports of the Yangtze River Delta.This paper first analyzes the existing port cluster analysis methods and the status of the Yangtze River Delta port cluster, then puts forward the theoretical model of the Yangtze River Delta port cluster, the concepts of the port efficiency and efficient scale, and establishes the theoretical model of the port cluster efficiency model. Subsequently, the paper analyzes a variety of system simulation methods, introduces the system dynamics simulation method, and runs the simulation of the Yangtze River Delta port cluster system based on the dynamics software.Through research and analysis, this paper finds out the rule of efficiency change of the Yangtze River Delta port cluster groups as well as a single port, further runs the sensitive analysis of all the items on the ports efficiency, describes the interaction between the various indicators of each port, and finally raises several macro-and micro-policy advises on the development of the Yangtze River Delta port cluster based on the data analysis.
