With the continuous expansion of the port scale,port development has an important impact on the promotion of China's economy,and the mutual competition between ports has intensified.How to make the port's sustainable,stable and green development become the focus of attention of all countries.Ningbo-Zhoushan Port is located in the east of Zhejiang,the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta,north of Hangzhou Bay,west of Shaoxing,south of Taizhou,northeast and Zhoushan across the sea,is a deep-water port with natural and excellent conditions;Ningbo-Zhoushan Port is currently China The largest port of bulk cargo throughput,container throughput ranks the third largest port in the country and is one of the world's five largest ports.Since the integration of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port,it has been committed to developing into a worldclass strong port.It is facing great challenges in maintaining high-speed growth under the current situation.First,the port itself has developed to a higher level.Secondly,China's economic development stage has entered a period of steady growth from the high-speed growth period.Finally,the port economy transformation has brought the development of throughput into a bottleneck period,resulting in a relative reduction in the quantity of goods.Scientific and reasonable port competitiveness evaluation can not only reflect the current operation status and problems of the port,but also indicate the correct development direction of the port.This paper takes the three principles of port comprehensive competitiveness theory,port sustainable development theory and port competition development theory as the research foundation,and comprehensively applies the entropy weight method and TOPSIS method to establish a port competitiveness evaluation system based on entropy weight and TOPSIS method.The entropy weight method is used to determine the weight of indicators,which increases the accuracy of subjective weighting.The combination of qualitative indicators and quantitative indicators makes up for the limitations of single-level indicators.Finally,taking the six ports of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port as an example,the port competitivenessevaluation model of entropy weight and TOPSIS method is constructed,and the horizontal and vertical evaluation of each index is carried out to propose countermeasures and suggestions for improving the comprehensive competitiveness of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port.
