Studied On The Flora Of Vascular Plant And Wild Plant Resources Of South Dahong Mountain

South Mt. Dahong is situated in Northern Central Hubei Province. Based on analysis of the floristic elements at species, genera and family level respectively, I came to some conclusions as follows: 1.The flora is abundant in wild species, containing 1147 species of vascular plants which belong to 605 genera and 155-families. 2. Dominant families are obvious, single-species and few-species genera are rich.3. The types of distribution are various and geographical elements are complex. 4. 201 tropical genera amount to 38.28% of the total non-cosmopolitan genera, and 306 temperate ones to 56.90% which shows obvious temperate nature. It has much in common which tropical flora, and shows some transitional nature. 6. There are large proportion of archaic, relic and primitive plants in the flora. 7. The flora belongs to East China plant flora. 8. The comparison of the floras makes it clear that this vascular plants flora is closely related to that of Mt. Lushan, and then to that of Mt. Jiugong, Mt. Funiu, Mt. Huang, Mt. Dayao and Mt. Jinfu respectively.In addition, the paper deals with the exploitation of the wild resource plants thoroughly. There are 1147 species of wild resource plants, which belong to 545 genera and 135 families. According to their economic uses, there are 12 types, wood use plant (71 species), medicinal plant 727, grease plant111, fiber plant 107, tannic plan t 56, nectar source plant 131, starch and carbohydrate plant 75, forage plant 34, agrochemical plant 25, aromatic plant 78 , energy plant 109, wild ornamental plant 753. Some representative and highly economically important plants are described by plant types. Characteristics of Wild Plant Resources and existing is analyzed. Suggestions to protect and rationally develop the wild plant resource are proposed.
