Vocational education has taken on the important task of training highly qualified laborers. It gives great impetus to all-round development education, and plays an important role in enhancing the national quality as well as in strengthening the comprehensive national might. The coming web-based informationization provides theoretical and technical support for vocational education. It excites the vigour of vocational education and opens up its developmental probability. The combination of web technology with vocational education, and the exploration of educational discipline under web circumstances will accelerate the reform of vocational education teaching and its healthy development.In this paper, on the basis of analysis of features of vocational education and web education, the web teaching design model"subject-guiding"is expounded, i.e. guided by the Theory of Structuralism, teachers should not only attach great importance to the students'"subject"role, but also bring the their own"guide"role into full play. Considering the specific characteristics of vocational school students and the information spreading features on the Internet, it is stressed that special attention should be paid to the design of teaching strategy in the webcourse and to fostering the students'ability to study on their own and cooperatively. The author makes a systematic study on the knowledge structure, curriculum features, current conditions of teaching, and necessity of curriculum reform of the course"Statics"as well as feasibility of adopting modern multi-media web technology to develop webcourse. After an effective exploration on its new teaching model and a clarification of the active significance of the webcourse"Statics"in improving teaching quality, pushing forward teaching reform and realizing"strengthening our country through science and education", the technology principle and method of developing the design of the webcourse are introduced in detail and the teaching-system of webcourse of"Statics"is designed and developed in the light of the features of vocational education and the guidance of teaching theories.
