Abstract/Summary:
Because of its sensitive to air pollution, lichen can be regarded as a monitor of the pollution. It is more sensitive than vascular plant to environmental change. The component of lichen species and the change of quantity of one area is the indicator of the variety of ecosystem. And the study of the flora plays an important part to the natural protection of Mt. Wuyi.On the basis of identification of more than 900 specimens deposited in HMAS-L, the author carries on comprehensive study of them, which are collected from Mt. Wuyi. Detailed descriptions and discussions on their morphology, chemistry, anatomy and distribution in China with keys to genera and species are included in the study. There are one hundred and twenty species, which belongs to 39 genera of 16 lichen families in this thesis. Stereocaulon japonicum var. aogasimense and St. japonicum var. tokioense are first discovered in China, Stereocaulon massartianum, St. sorediiferum var. leprosolingulatum, St. verruculigerum, Hypotrachyna kingii, Hyp. sublaevigata and Bulbothrix isidiza are rare in China only distributed in Fujian and Taiwan.Though the analysis of the lichen which is distributed in different altitude and habitat, the author found the characters of the vertical distribution are as following: under 500m, lichen species number is sparse because of the activity of human being and so on, and the number of species is abundance between 500~1100m. Some lichen genera are common to distribute on tree, soil and stone. The flora of Mt. Wuyi has some characteristics as follows: it is abundant in spexies. It is notable in dominant family and genus phenomenon. The types of distribution are various and geographical elements are complex, and dominance of temperate elements is obvious and subtropical elements are plentiful, and it has something in common with tropical flora. The lichen flora of this region is ancient. The lichen flora of Mt. Wuyi can be classified into the following 6 geographical elements and 14 distribution patterns. Here into, Eastern Asian (33.1%), Extensive tropical (26.4%), Temperate (20.7%) and Boreal (8.5%), of which Eastern Asian and Extensive tropical are the most important ones in tloristic elements of Mt. Wuyi. And finds out that the flora of this region possesses the elements of boreal, temperate, tropical, subtropical et al., the charactersof eastern Asian and transition, and has closely relationship with flora of tropical and subtropical. The analysis of mutual genera and species could help us know the relationship between the floras from area to area. This thesis compare the mutual genera and species of Wuyi Mts. with Japan, Taiwan, Yunnan, Shennongjia, Xizang and Daxingganling, And the conclusion also proves that the flora of this region possesses the elements of boreal, temperate, tropical, subtropical et al., the characters of eastern Asian and transition, and has closely relationship with flora of tropical and subtropical.
