Mt. Jinfo is located in Nanchuan district, south of Chongqing city. It situated at 28°46′~29°38′N. latitude and 106°54′~107°27′E. longitude. The total area of the mountain is about 260 km2. Its main peak is 2251m above the sea level, and its bottom is only 340m. Mt. Jinfo is such a region in which the subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest has been conserved well. Mt. Jinfo is located in the Sichuan east-Hubei west distributed center of seed plants. On the basis of identification of more than 300 specimens deposited in Shandong Normal University, the author carries on comprehensive study of them, which are collected from Mt. Jinfo. Detailed descriptions and discussions on their morphology, chemistry, anatomy and distribution in China with keys to genera and species are included in the study. There are ninety-one species, which belongs to 29 genera of 14 lichen families in this thesis. Biatora vernalis is first discovered in China, Parmelia praesquarrosa,Canoparmelia amazonica,Heterodermia lutescens,Heterodermia propapulifera,Ramalina peruviana,Haematomma fauriei are rare in China only distributed in Chongqing and Taiwan.Though the analysis of the lichen which is distributed in different altitude and habitat, the author found the characters of the vertical distribution are as following: under 2000m, lichen species number is sparse because of the activity of human being and so on, and the number of species is abundance between 2000-2200m. Some lichen genera are common to distribute on tree, soil and stone. The flora of Mt. Jinfo has some characteristics as follows: it is abundant in spexies. It is notable in dominant family and genus pheIlolllelloll. The types of distribution are various and geographical elements are complex, and dominance of temperate elements is obvious and subtropical elements are plentiful, and it has something in common with tropical flora. The lichen flora of Mt. Jinfo can be classified into the following 6 geographical elements and 14 distribution patterns. Here into, Eastern Asian (19.78%) , Extensive tropical (17.65%),Temperate (14.29%) and Boreal (13.19%), of which Eastern Asian and Extensive tropical are the most important ones in floristic elements of Mt. Jinfo. And finds out that the flora of this region possesses the elements of boreal, temperate, tropical, subtropical et al., the characters of eastern Asian and transition, and has closely relationship with flora of tropical and subtropical. The analysis of mutual genera and species could help us know the relationship between the floras from area to area. This thesis compare the mutual genera and species of Mt. Jinfo. with Mt. Wuyi, Shennongjia, Mt. Wuling and Mt. Tuoliang , And the conclusion also proves that the flora of this region possesses the elements of boreal, temperate, tropical, subtropical et al., the characters of eastern Asian and transition, and has closely relationship with flora of tropical and subtropical.
