Study Of The Flora And Vegetation In Yarkant River Basin

Flora elements, nature and plant resources, rare wild plants, endemic species,vegetation types and its types of distribution were studied in Yarkant river basin by this thesis. Aiming to provide reliable scientific basis for overall planning and the ecological environment and biodiversity conservation, the main results of research are as follows:(1)The plant diversity is relatively rich. There are 461 species of vascular plant which belong to 219 genera and 57 families in this river basin, which have 3 species, 2genera, 2families in gymnosperm,5 species, 3 genera, 3 families in angiosperm,453 species, 214genera, 52 families in angiosperm which occupies 98.26% of vacular plant in absolutely advantageous. In plants of 219 species, including 19 genera of above 5 species, 94 genera of 2 ~ 4 species, 106 genera of 1 species, so the genera of single species is a high percentage , the diversity is relatively rich.(2)Geographic elements is complex, the types of distribution is diversity. There are 11 types of 15 types and 11 subtypes of 31 subtypes of geographical components in this river basin.The flora is the typical temperate property, which include geographical elements of Mediterranea, West Asia to Central Asia and the subtypes, occupying 21.88% and 7.10%. The geographical elements of East Asia and North America disjuncted is very poor, which include 1 genera, occupying 0.59%. There is relatively few communication with east Asia and North America, and more communication with Mediterranean, Central Asia, West Asia, East Asia. The analysis of VFP has proved this point.(3)The plant resources is relatively richer, which include medicinal plant resources, forage plant resources, ornamental plant resources, edible plants resources and so on(4) Using 3S technique and field data, the distribution map of rare wild plant species is made. There are 26 species of rare wild plant and endemic species. There are 20 species of rare wild plant, belonging to 14 genera, 14 families, including 4 species, 2 genera, 2 families in gymnosperm, 16 species, 12 genera, 12 families in angiosperm. There are 9 species of endemic species, belonging to 8 genera, 8 families, including 1 species, 1 genera, 1 families in gymnosperm, 8 species, 7 genera, 7 families in angiosperm.(5) Using 3S technique and field data, the map of vegetation is made, and the vegetation has been classified. There are 7 vegetation types, 14 vegetation subtypes, 31 formations. The diversity of vegetation is relatively rich. The vertical distribution of vegetation is obvious, including desert, grassland, forest etc.
