Study On The Seed Plant Flora And Vegetation Type At The Northwest Foothill Knoll Of Bogda

This paper regards the northwest foothill knoll of Bogda as study area, based on the opening investigation, releve method and the method of mathematics statistics, this paper analyzes the characteristics of flora and vegetation type, Explored measurement of vegetation protection and restoration in low mountain rolling country of the peripheral city. The concrete results of this research as following:1. At the northwest foothill knoll of Bogda, it has seed plants 261 species belonging to 180 generas and 42 families.2. It's has 6 distributed area-types of family, and dominant by Pan-tropic distribution; 9distributed area-types of genera, Temperate distribution is main part of it.3. The local plant flora was characterized by abundant floristic components, marked superior phenomenon, high proportion of family and genera, few species relatively; complex geographical elements, diversified distributed area-types, lacking endemic species and young origination.4. The plants' life-form is most by perennial herbaceous and annual herbaceous; its' ecology-form is mainly for xerophytes and mesomophic plant. In community, the dominant and constructive species are all xerophytes sub shrub and perennial herbaceous, belongs flora of arid zone.5. The natural vegetation in research area should be divided into S vegetation types, 8 sub-vegetation types, 20 formations and 24 associations.6. The characteristic of vegetation types shows: the vegetation types are diverse; the dominant vegetation is desert vegetation, region of community is obvious, It contains desert vegetation, thicket vegetation, meadow vegetation, swamp vegetation, aquatic vegetation and cultivated broad-leaved forest. The desert vegetation constitutes this local vegetation the main body. Its distribution is widespread, occupies 81.85% of the research area, and fully has manifested the temperate zone arid wilderness area vegetation characteristic.7. The secondary vegetation accounts for the proportion to be high 37.45% indicated the primary vegetation had been destructed seriously.8. "The name list of the northwest foothill knoll of Bogda" and "the vegetation map of the northwest foothill knoll of Bogda(1:10000)" had been worked out.
