In the process of modernization,information dissemination has influenced the way people think and act in the world,constituting the cultural landscape of humanity.In the new century,culture is no longer just "a work of the intellect and imagination,but fundamentally a holistic way of life," breaking through the traditional temporal and spatial inheritance.The interrelationship between the various elements of holistic life,the common interest in the exchange of meanings between journalism and cultural studies,and the new context of journalism as an ideological practice driven by scientific and technological progress are no longer just a professional skill but are included in cultural studies.The concept of "journalism" today has been generalized to the media as a carrier of information related to public life.The author places journalism in the broad sense of culture and studies it through the lens of cultural studies,viewing it as a common cultural practice.News culture,as a common idea on which a society or a whole relies and as a social practice and way of life of people,has undoubtedly become a major element of ideology,while surviving actively in the tension of intense and turbulent social development.In this paper,we study the cultural psychology,cultural consciousness,and cultural mechanism of news communication as a common idea or holistic way of life by considering news as a part of social and cultural activities.Based on the special cultural mechanism of journalism culture,it achieves its own transformation.The focus is on the interrelationship between journalism culture and the larger culture of society in the current cultural context and new pattern of lifestyles,and on explaining and understanding the mechanisms and functions of journalism from a cultural perspective,thus exploring the construction of journalism culture with Chinese characteristics in the new cultural context of the times.Journalism culture is a holistic concept with multi-level structure,which is the organic unity of the inner values and outer behaviors contained in the journalistic system,journalistic communication activities and the concrete expressions of journalistic practice,as well as the corresponding cultural achievements formed on this basis.The contemporary context of journalism culture is a "cultural field" constituted by specific cultural accumulation and cultural status in a specific space and time.In the new pattern of the current cultural context and lifestyle,journalistic activities,which have long been framed as "professions",and the professional system built up with the journalistic profession,have been reduced in status and "decentralized",and journalistic culture in China has changed from unidimensional communication to pluralistic co-construction.The development of journalism culture in China has changed from unidimensional communication to pluralistic co-construction.The production of news culture is transitioning from organized to socialized,and users’ news consumption is changing from "specialized" to "everyday",just like other media consumption,and users’ access to news and consumption concepts are also changing.In the new media era,the audience is no longer a passive receiver of information,but a series of information sharing and forwarding behaviors,becoming a "news user" or "user",and the audience has changed from passive reception to active news production.The rapid fission of information dissemination in modern cultural life has changed the process of "creating meaning",in which news culture has also changed from closed-line to open-net communication,integrating the characteristics of mass communication(one-way)and interpersonal communication(two-way),forming a scattered network communication structure in general,and the communication form is gradually Socialization.Technological development and media changes have also made the way people perceive news no longer limited to a single form or linear structure.News is no longer just "reporting" or "informing" in the traditional sense,but more often appears in people’s daily life as a type of knowledge,a living resource or a way of life.In other words,the cognition of news can no longer continue the old "passer-centered" mode of "transmission view",but should establish a user-centered,Internet-minded concept of news culture production and dissemination.The plurality of news production subjects,the proliferation of media composition,the decentralization of communication and the competition for attention market make news more popular.However,in this process,the news culture carries considerable derivative disadvantages such as imitation,catharsis and irrationality,and cultural dysfunctions such as meaning dissolution,opinion polarization and moral crisis appear.Therefore,the construction of media-initiated news communication power from a cultural perspective,with a broader vision of socialized mass culture,cross-fertilization and diversified understanding,adhering to the political logic of national governance,the market logic of cultural industry upgrading and development,and the cultural logic of public platform and social bridging,completes the consensus condensation of news culture in the era of traffic.
