| As the most authoritative mainstream media in Yunnan, Yunnan Daily is the main force of Yunnan Province’s propaganda. In all kinds of news reports, conference news is a main window for readers to understand the political, economic and cultural development of Yunnan and the whole country, especially in the annual reports of the NPC and CPPCC, which is the most typical and representative conference news. As the news is the outcome of objective reality’s symbolization by using news discourse,the symbolic reality in the conference news is the result of construction of objective reality by using news discourse, coordinating the theories of journalism,communication, linguistics and narratology to analyze Yunnan Daily’s conference news from the perspective of discourse analysis, it can get rid of the limitations of the speak generally based on the news operations, discussing how to construct reality and what kind of reality is constructed by the conference news discourse, so that we can gain in-depth knowledge of conference news.This study based primarily on the discourse analysis, using text analysis,description method, interpretation method and comparision analysis, taking the Yunnan Daily’s two sessions reports in the last ten years as analysis samples, analyze the construction of the reality on Yunnan Daily’s conference news discourse with text analysis and context analysis. There are four main chapters in the whole paper. The first chapter is an overview of Yunnan Daily and conference news,aiming to get a clear understanding of research object through a brief introduction. The second chapter and third chapter belongs to text analysis section. The second chapter is a study on the macrostructure of the two sessions reports discourse, discussing how the macrostructure affect the construction of reality. This chapter draws lessons from Teun A Van Dijk’s theme structure and news schema, summing up the characteristics of Yunnan Daily news conference discourse’s macrostructure. The third chapter starts from the analysis of the two sessions reports discourse’s microstructure, summing up the characteristics of Yunnan Daily news conference discourse’s microstruturethrough the study on the vocabulary, senstence and discourse in the two sessions reports. The last chapter is the context analysis section. It combines the characteristics of Yunnan Daily’s conference news discourse with the specific context, discussing how the linguistic context and the extra-linguistic context affect the construction of reality in the conference news discourse. The linguistic context is in the formation of the linguistic elements, and the inter-sentential context and text context is contained in the linguistic context. The extra-linguistic context is in the formation of the ceremonial conference, the party newspapers’ attribute, the needs of the audience and the media’s competitions. Therefore, the last part reveals how these factors affect the construction of reality on the Yunnan Daily’s conference news discourse. |
