The Family Evaniidae belongs to Hymenoptera,Evanioidea. Some ensign wasps parasite on eggs of cockroaches, which indicate a potential biological control value. This thesis is aimed at taxonomy of Chinese Evaniidae. In total,78 species belonging to seven genera of ensign wasps are treated based on examination of more than 1500 specimens collected in different provinces and regions in China,of which 60 species are new to science, two genera are recorded in China for the first time.Keys to genera and species from China are provided.Detail diagonosis and high quality photos for all new species and known species which specimens are available are given. The new species and new genus records are listed as blow:New species: A.flavipetiolata sp.n.,A.nigripetiolata sp.n.,A.xui sp.n.,E.aeneus sp.n.,E.guangdongensis sp.n.,E.exfoveata sp.n.,E.flaviscapa sp.n.,E.punctiscuta sp.n.,E.punctisulca sp.n.,E.striata sp.n.,E.tangi sp.n.,Evaniella alba sp.n.,E.furca sp.n.,E.diaoluoshanensis sp.n.,E.flavicoxa sp.n.,E.flavifacies sp.n.,E.glabra sp.n.,E.glabiscutullem sp.n.,E.jianfenglingensis sp.n.,E.longicarina sp.n.,E.longipilosa sp.n.,E.breviscapa sp.n.,E.nigrivertex sp..n.,E.acuta sp..n.,E.obtusa sp..n.,E.xizangensis sp..n.,Parevania.achlys sp..n.,P.bicarina sp..n.,P.bicolor sp..n.,P.cheni sp.n.,P.flavitarsa sp.n.,P.galba sp.n.,P.hirsuta sp.n.,P.mangkuanensis sp..n.,P.nabanensis sp.n.,P.sparsipuncta sp.n.,P.taiwanensis sp..n.,P.yunnanensis sp.n.,Prosevania acuoclypeus sp.n.,P.ambicornis sp.n.,P.fujianensis sp.n.,P.fusciabdominalis sp.n.,P.fuscipes sp.n.,P.fuscipetiolata sp.n.,P.glabripetiolata sp.n.,P.yunnanensis sp.n.,P.longipuncta sp.n.,P.medicarina sp.n.,P.nankunshanensis sp.n.,P.micropuncta sp.n.,P.plata sp.n.,P.ptycha sp.n.,P.rugosipetiolata sp.n.,P.semicarina sp.n.,P.septemicarina sp.n.P.wangae sp.n.,P.weii sp.n.,P.brachycarina sp.n.,P.zhaoqingensis sp.n.,Z.Zeuxevania brevipetiolata sp.n.New genus records: Alobevania Kawada and Deans,2008;Evaniella Bradleyi,1905.The distribution pattern of seven chinese genera showed that(1)the Evania distributed in all the zoobiogeographic regions, and the other six genera had narrower distribuion ranges than Evania but occurred at least two biogeographic regions;(2)most of genera distributed in Yunnan, except Alobevania;(3)five genera distributed in Taiwan,Guangdong and Hainan;(4)Alobevania and Zeuxevnaia are endemic to Yunnan;(5)E.xizangensis is endemic to Tibet;(6)most of Chinese evaniid species are essentially distributed in the Oriental Region, except E.appendigaster distribute in both Palaearctic Region and Oriental Region. The phylogenetic relationships of 21 Evaniidae genera, with Gasteruption japonicum as outgroup, was cladistically analysed using TNT version 1.05 and Winclada version 1.00.08,with maximum parsimony based on 30 morphological characters of adults. The results demonstrated that(1)the Family divided into two clades, one of which include Alobevania and the other comprise of the remaining 20 genera;(2)the monophyly of most of genera were confirmed, except Evaniella and Acanthinevania;(3)the sister relationship of genera Trissevania and Afrevania were not recovered, suggesting the tribe Trissevanii was not a monophyletic group;(4)genus Acanthinevania was a paraphyletic group with respect to Szepligetella.
