Species in Aspergillus P.Micheli ex Haller is plentiful.Aspergillus is widely distributed and complex in habitat. It is a common food, air pollution bacteria and important pathogenic bacteria of plants and animals. In addition,Aspergillus can also produce a variety of beneficial secondary metabolites, such as antibiotics, antifungal toxins, organic acids, enzymes, etc.,so it is also widely used in food and medicine and other fermentation industry production. The identification and classification of Aspergillus in tradition regard morphology and colony culture characteristics as the main standard. But because of the development of molecular systematics study, the new?International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants?(2013)and the "one fungus, one name" conception, modern classification systems of Aspergillus in the world has changed a lot.The identification, classification, revision and assessment of the classification and diversity of Aspergillus in our country become very important. In this study, more than 300 strains of Aspergillus collected from China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center(CGMCC)and strains collected from special environment in XinJiang were systematically classified using polyphasic taxonomy with molecular systematics and morphological method.1.317 Aspergillus strains had been identified from CGMCC with morphology and molecular phylogenetic studies under the?International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants?.4 subgenus had been identified including:subgenus Nidulantes(2 sections:section Usti and section Nidulantes),subgenus Circumdati(6 sections:section Circumdati, section Flavi, section Candidi, section Nigri, section Flavipedes and section Terrei),subgenus Fumigati(2 sections:section Fumigati and section Clavati),subgenus Cremei(1 section:section Cremei).4 subgenus account for 66.6%of international reports(6 Subgenus).11 sections were identified,11 sections account for 50%of international reports(22 sections).51 species were identified, including 20 new records in China, new records including:A.alabamensis,A.allahabadii,A.calidoustusi A.creber,A.cvjetkovicii,A.europaeus,A.fijiensis,A.jensenii,A.micronesiensis,A.neoniger,A.protuberus,A.pseudoviridinutans,A.puulaauensis,A.steynii,A.spelunceus,A.tabacinus,A.templicola,A.tennesseensis,A.tritici,A.udagawae.There were 279 strains of Apergillus that resulted in the change of taxonomic status which accounting for 88%of the total, and 18 strains were excluded from Aspergillus.2.Mainly morphological and phylogenetic analysis of section Terrei and section Nidulantes in Aspergillus.Three genes including ITS,CaM and BenA were used to study section Terrei. Two new records were found in this section:Aspergillus alabamensis and A.allahabadii.Morphological analysis and CaM analysis showed that section Nidulantes could be significantly divided into two branches:A.Versicolores clade, including 7 new recordeds, and A.Nidulantes clade, including 1 new recorded.3.16 species of Aspergillus and related taxa were isolated from soil samples of FuYun county and JiMuNai county in the high-altitude area of xinjiang, respectively:Aspergillus alliaceus,A.flavus,A.fumigatiaffinis,A.movilensis,A.persii,A.sulphureus,A.versicolor,Penicillium arizonense,P.bilaiae,P.chrysogenum,P.citrinum,P.glycvrrhizacola,P.oxalicum,P.sizovae,Talaromycesfuniculosus,T.stollii.It is closely related to medicinal plants such as bupleurum chinensis, red paeony root, ephedra, asafoetida, licorice and astragalus membranaceus etc.,showing rich species diversity and adaptability to special environments. This study is a systematic revision and evaluation of the major Aspergillus species in China under the?International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants?,which provides important reference for the taxonomy and species diversity of Aspergillus both in China and abroad and a good guiding significance for the correct understanding of the importance of Aspergillus and its research, development and application.
