| Dictyosporic hyphomycetes are the fungi with transverse and longitudinal or oblique conidium septa. Their conidia are produced mitotically and mostly dark colored. Members of this group occur in a wide variety of habitats and widespread, such as in soil, water, air and various kinds of animals and plants tissues and debris. The living environment is complicated. They are one of the major components of the biomass and biodiversity in nature and have economic and ecological importance. However, quite a number of fungi in this group have similar conidiogenous pattern and are great variations in conidial morphology due to the environment or culture condition changes. Therefore, it is sometimes quite difficult to distinguish them each other. In the past years many mycologists have devoted their research to this fungus group, however taxonomic system has been changed often due to different viewpoints and taxonomic criterion. These remarkably delaied the development of this discipline and bring very great inconvenience to other relevant theories and application study too. All of these are problems urgently waiting to be further studied. During the investigations of dictyosporic hyphomycetes in China in 1999～2002, we have collected more than 2000 specimens from 20 provinces. Plus another 3000 herbarium specimens, we checked a total of 5000 specimens. From which we gained 200 fungal isolates and discovered quite a few new and noteworthy taxa and achieve many valuable results.In this paper, based on the careful identification, 62 taxa at species level are described and illustrated which belong to 20 genera, respectively.
