Internet companies, as the core subject of Internet economy, have played an important role in Internet economy. Strategic behaviors of Internet companies are the process of adopting strategic decisions and strategic conduction facing dynamic and complex changes in competitive environment. Result of strategic behaviors would directly impact strategic performance of Internet companies and even entail the development and survival of the companies. It has been studied that traditional strategic behavior of enterprises emphasized on perspectives of industry structure, context factors, company characteristics and company strategic administrators etc., but the usage of competitive intelligence in strategic behaviors had been neglected while the competitive intelligence was the basis of strategic behaviors. So, the title of this paper "Research on the role of competitive intelligence in the strategic behavior of Internet companies" has been come up in the context.Methods have been used comprehensively from fields including competitive intelligence, strategic management, information fusion, management science and organization behavior science in this paper, aimed to clarify characteristics of competitive intelligence in Internet companies from view of competitive intelligence analysis. The paper analyses competitive intelligence needs of Internet companies' strategic behaviors, and the usage of competitive intelligence in Internet companies' strategic behaviors, as well as explores the influencing factors and influencing relationship between them. With comprehensive analysis of competitive environment via competitive intelligence, it has been aimed to analyze the influencing factors and characteristics of Internet companies'strategic behaviors in the novel Internet competitive environment, so as to improve studies of strategic behaviors, and provide useful preference for strategic management theories and crosses methods of multidisciplinary fields.The dissertation adopts research routine of "induction-deduction", i.e. began with induction of theoretical basis and influencing factors, and followed by systematic analysis of the application of competitive intelligence in Internet companies'strategic behaviors, from multiple perspectives including needs analysis, functioning factors and functioning execution etc. Except for Chapter 1 the introduction part and Chapter 7 the conclusion and discussion part, the remaining core parts are 5 chapters as follows:Chapter 2, fundamental conceptions and theoretical basis. The goal is to clarify the problem source of the study and theoretical focus. First, the dissertation classifies and defines the Internet companies to clarify fundamental objects of the study. Then further elaborates the meaning, application and analysis methods of competitive intelligence. The dissertation describes the research angels of strategic behaviors and distinguishes between strategic management and strategic behaviors. Characteristics of Internet companies'competitive intelligence have been decided that competitive intelligence activities have been emphasized the synergy of interpersonal competitive intelligence and competitive intelligence organization, in order to improve the quality and efficiency of competitive intelligence. The ultimate influence of competitive intelligence on Internet companies'strategic behaviors have been realized as the via decision supporting, and decision supporting product of Internet companies'competitive intelligence would been established upon multi-source information fusion of Internet companies'competitive intelligence.Chapter 3, study of functional relationship between Internet companies'strategic behaviors and competitive intelligence. This chapter analyses the mutual relationship between competitive intelligence process and strategic behavior process, and expounds the characteristics and functioning links. In strategic ecosystem, Internet companies' strategic behavior and competitive intelligence activities both undertook independent optimization without mutual interaction under strategic ecosystem and information ecosystem respectfully, meanwhile they had some overlap between each other. Competitive intelligence was the basis of making strategic behaviors while Internet companies'strategic behaviors were the result of competitive intelligence needs. Chapter 4, study of competitive intelligence needs in Internet companies'strategic behaviors. This chapter is aimed to clarify, in the process of company strategic behaviors, the content and characteristics of competitive intelligence needs from rational factors that influence strategic behaviors, as well as the driving route of competitive intelligence needs of the process and influencing factors of fusing strategic behaviors. This chapter reviews the rational influencing factors of Internet companies' strategic behaviors mainly including: ?industrial organization structure, ?company resource construction and capability, ?context environment, ?technical innovation, ?effects of relational network, ?user behaviors. The dissertation, from perspective of competitive intelligence needs of strategic decision making actors when conducting strategic behaviors, analyses the competitive intelligence needs in the developing process of company strategic behaviors, as well as the difference in competitive intelligence needs of rational influencing factors of Internet companies'strategic behaviors under Internet environment.Chapter 5, analysis of functioning factors of competitive intelligence in Internet companies'strategic behaviors. Starting from the value chain of competitive intelligence, this chapter investigates within influence of rational factors the functioning mechanism of competitive intelligence on Internet companies'strategic behaviors, and clarifies the relationship between rational factors, competitive intelligence and strategic behaviors. The chapter analyses the propagation form of competitive intelligence information flow of Internet companies, as well as the information interfere in information link and its disadvantages. Making use of appreciation effect of Internet companies'competitive intelligence value chain, the function of competitive intelligence is decomposed into three parts, i.e. environmental monitoring, threat alert and decision supporting. By constructing functioning model of Internet companies'competitive intelligence based on rational factors, and combined with questionnaire survey, results show that the three functions of competitive intelligence have strong perception capability on technical innovation, relationship network effects and user behaviors, i.e. competitive intelligence are useful to effectively respond to rational influencing factors with Internet attributes.Chapter 6, the application study of competitive intelligence in Internet companies' strategic behaviors. This chapter is aimed to conduct systematic design on application pattern of competitive intelligence in environmental monitoring, threat alert and decision supporting of Internet companies'strategic behaviors. The environmental monitoring of Internet companies'competitive intelligence, based on the plan and needs of Internet companies'strategic behaviors, conductes monitoring on intelligence sources including competitors, user behaviors, Internet sentiment, technical patents, policy and law etc., and constructes MDP model of Internet companies'competitive intelligence environmental monitoring, as well as sets up respectively monitoring submodel, recognition submodel and prediction submodel oriented to the big data environment. The threat alert system C+C structure of Internet companies'competitive intelligence is processing mechanism of alert signal based on the cloud computing platforms. The nature of Internet companies'competitive intelligence decision supporting is the efficient fusion of multi-source intelligence from different layers, and by constructing competitive intelligence decision supporting fusion model orients to Internet companies based on JDL model, the realization of multi-source information fusion of competitive intelligence.
