With the improvement of China's market economy, many enterprises have to face the intense market competition. In order to reach their strategic objective and have an advantage in the competition, they must study the condition of the competitor and the competition environment to improve their own competitive ability. Enterprises with different strategy have different ways of building their competitive intelligence system (CIS). So it is necessary to study how to build CIS based on different strategy. America is the original place where CIS is first constructed. Moreover, the appliance of CIS in American enterprises is more mature. So it is obvious that the study on how to learn and combine their experiences with our own condition is realistic and urgent.This paper first discusses the mutual relationship between CIS and enterprise strategy, and then analyzes the significance of combining them with each other. Secondly, the paper presents the construction methods of CIS after the discussion on the position and function of CIS based on strategic management. Thirdly, the paper puts forward the different reference models after analyzing and classifying different management strategies. Finally, some critical problems in building CIS are pointed out, after which a referential model that is suitable for our national enterprises is presented. |
