Clinically investigation upon radial styloid process of stenosing tenosynovitis(de Quervain’s disease) is conducted to find better treatment in order to alleviate patients’pain, and restore functional activity of the joint.Methods:By himself in Taipei county’s practice new north city new district ephone clinic of traditional Chinese medicine, and fixed support outpatient keelung city zhong was born in TCM clinic, newnorth city and the three big clinic of traditional Chinese medicine, the new north city and OuDeShi clinic of traditional Chinese medicine, and taoyuan city antai outpatient clinic patients of big creek area for this topic source cases. Must be continuousto this disease outpatient treatment for two consecutive period of treatment, and each course of treatment for six consecutive patients is limited, for effective case samples. Shangqiu acupture point were used throughout the application of acupuncture needling to the lesion as well as treatment of various two courses which are the choices of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese medicion"TCM Syndrome Diagnostic efficacy standards"(2002) for development of the criteria of efficacy, Wang Wenhua, and Wang Hengbin such as "the use of clinical symptoms and signs of scoring grading standards" and evaluation of other performance criteria, pain and other fist ulnar test (Finkelstein syndrome text) serve as judicious factors and set to produce the basis ofefficacy evaluation for radial styloid process of stenosing tenosynovitis. The grade of evaluation is examined by specialized medical personnel, and treatment were evaluated upnon the vincinity of the same spot every time.Result:Sex, age structure, severity, causes and other indicators of the patients of both treatment and control groups were found no significant difference (P> 0.05) in statistical tests. Prior to the treatment, pain, function, range of motion and total score of both treatment and control groups were found no significant difference (P>0.05) in statistical tests. After two courses of 12 treatments, the conditions of 30 cases in the experimental group were reported as the following:1 case was cured,10 cases were markedly effective, 19 cases were effective,0 case was useless, while for 30 patients in control group,0 case was cured,2 cases were markedly effective,24 cases were effective,4cases were useless were reported. Functions, which shows decreased total score of 163 points. Group differences, indicating that total credit score before and after the treatment with statistical significance, suggesting acupuncture of Shangqiu acupoints perform better at all time than local points acupuncture.
