Study On The Regional Expression Of Contemporary Architecture In South Fujian

The impact of globalization converges of the presences of urban buildings, so the regional expression becomes the necessary correspondence. For the contemporary architecture, the regional expression of architecture is actually a manifestation of globalization, the research on which has the real necessity. Against the globalization, the trend of urban architecture tend to be convergence, however, the efforts of regional manifestation can be seen around the world, from the concern of natural energy-saving in developed countries to the application of appropriate technology in developing countries,from infancy of early modern architecture in Japan to the local consciousness in Taiwan and then to the concern of local and regional form in mainland China, demonstrating abstract of form, and from the experience of traditional space, guiding human behavior, to the design of the spirit site, performing the creation of regional space. Also, the interpretation of local materials reflects the multiplicity of the expression technique of contemporary architecture.This thesis aims to sort out the phenomenon of regional expression of contemporary architecture and probe into the means of hierarchy expression of regional creation, in order to have the theory support of architecture regional expression for helping the architecture creation practice and research the regional expression of Minnan(Southern Fujian Province) architecture.Minnan architecture which is under the influence of subtropical climate and is load-bearing local unique historical culture appears on distinctive red brick culture, such as the various types of architecture, the exaggeration of architectural form, the rich colors, the transparent space ,stressing in materials and so on. At present, with the rapid development of city, this thesis which is based on the climatic adaptation, form and space, technology and new materials approaches the regional expression and creative practice of Minnan architecture.The dissertation includes two major parts. The first part called Reserch is theoretical basis research. This part primarily defines the geographical factors and the analyses regional expression of the phenomenon of contemporary home and abroad architecture. Then, it analyze from the main aspects of architecture design, such as nature, form, space, technology, material, culture and so on, the contemporary architecture regional expressions, which, in other words, natural cares, form expression, spatial construction, technical support, the material deduction, the cultural extension and etc. Meanwhile, the procession of architecture design is also cared in the level. Finally, it is concluded that the trend of the regional expressions of contemporary architecture, the core results of the dissertation, is spontaneity, separation, space and time transformation and etc. The second part called Practicing is the collection of practical works, which combines the theoretical research into practice to achieve the interaction of theory and practice .Conclusion: 1.
