Duijianzuo Research Of The Traditional Architecture In Coastal Areas Of Southern Fujian

Due to the specific natural human factors and economic cultural backgrounds,the traditional architecture in coastal areas of southern Fujian has formed the very local characteristics DuiJian crafts,which are still the very decorative arts used in many new and repair projects.However,the relevant research results are very limited,and the craftsmen mastering the skills have been gradually reduced,coupled with the impacts of modern materials,tools and technologies,the traditional DuiJian skills have been gradually lost or out of shape.Therefore,it is urgent to carry out the rescue protections and researches on the DuiJian subjects,types and construction techniques of the traditional architecture in southern Fujian.The paper is based on the research data of the cultural units and splendid traditional architecture,dividing the types of DuiJian,explaining and analyzing according to its location.At the same time,it focuses on the decorative techniques and subjects,and explores the morals as well as its usage patterns.Secondly,it is founded on the follow-up surveys and the craftsmen’ s interviews on the repair construction sites of the traditional architecture,it can record the tools and methods used in the DuiJian construction as completely as possible,and relatively create the techniques and construction processes to explore the architectural culture and wisdom implicated in it.Also,it conducts the study on the family origins,learning experiences,arts teaching and practitioner experiences of the representative craftsmen to make the heritage system of craftsmen skills clear.Finally,the problems existing in the DuiJian crafts of traditional architecture in coastal areas of southern Fujian are summarized and explained in the paper in order to provide references for the subsequent researches and protections.
