| The application of the domestic construction steel technology emerging in recent years, draw lessons from and study abroad experience in architectural creation is not to imitate its style, from its appearance, more important is to explore their way of thinking. In this paper, the steel in the technical performance of the regional architecture design research is the hope from the material properties and characteristics, the study of regional creation of architectural form and building materials, construction of the logical relationship between, discusses steel characteristic of regional construction logic and form of language expression.Steel as a building material has been 200 years of history, has always been steel is used as a structural material, but now is more and more used in the construction of steel structures and surface structure, the application range of the steel is constantly expanding, steel structure building are expanding research. But mostly concentrated on the study of steel structure buildings at home and abroad in the field of building structure, from the perspective of architectural design of steel structure construction research is scarce. Therefore the author chose to South Fujian region steel structure building as the main object of study, based on the review of development of steel structure, the perspective of South Fujian region in the analysis of inductive South Fujian region steel structure building in the aspects of structure and epidermis, and draw out the contemporary South Fujian local steel structure construction of ecology and digital tendency, aims to provide design reference for the contemporary South Fujian steel structure building.
