Implementation process of ERP system is substantially knowledge transferprocess among consultants, software developers, and users. Successfulknowledge transfer is the key factor that decides ERP project's success.Relative research in domestics and overseas appeared in 2002, and the fruitis far away from the practical requirement. In the ERP implementation, there issome wrong in the expression of the knowledge and knowledge transfer, andlack of knowledge transfer model for enterprise, knowledge transfer strategy, and measurement system on the knowledge transfer effectiveness. In the light of nearly 3 years investigation on ERP implementation, thisdissertation, aiming to improve the success rate of ERP implementation, constructs full knowledge transfer model and relevant ones, which focus on theknowledge transfer and strategy and are enterprise—oriented. This dissertaionfills up blank in this field and provide the method of improving success rate ofERP implementation. The dissertation redefines the category of ERP implementation, andknowledge and knowledge transfer in ERP implementation. ERP ImplementationModel (ERP-IM) and ERP Implementation Knowledge Model (ERP--IKM) areconstructed and used to analyze the knowledge architecture and characteristics ofthe participants in ERP implementation. The knowledge gap is analyzed in ERPimplementation. In order to reduce the gap, ERP Implementation KnowledgeConversion Model (ERP-IKCM), which describes the transformation of differentknowledge states, is built up and used to parse how knowledge state characterand classification layer influence the knowledge transfer difficulty. Thedissertation constructs ERP Implementation Knowledge Transferring Model(ERP-IKTM) and ERP Implementation Knowledge Transferring as Whole ViewModel (ERP-IKT-WVM), and expounds the first layer of ERP-IKTM in detail.Next , the multi-entiy characteristics of knowledge transfer in ERPimplementation are analyzed and four entities, which influence knowledgetransfer effect, are concluded. Based on this, Model of Multi-Entity KnowledgeTransferring in Implementing ERP (MMKT-IERP) is constructed. With the helpof MMKT-IERP, the dissertation studies enterprise environment strategy, individual drive strategy and individual capacity strategy, organization strategy, knowledge strategy different states and layers, and knowledge transfer strategyin different implementing stages.
