ERP,wich is a combination of advanced management idea and Information Technology,is the most important area while enterprise applying Information Technology.The successful implementation of ERP system will promote enterprises' development a lot.However,whether in the west world or China,the rate of successfully implementing ERP system is low.Through practical experience and research on literature,author found that the most important reason for low successful rate is the nonmatching ofenterprise's implementation capability and methods.This dissertation agrees with the concept of generalized ERP implementation,and suggests that enterprises should implement ERP based on enterprise's capability,rather than most enterprises's methods wich make ERP vendor as main body.This paper conducts a feasibility analysis on whether the Capability Maturity Model is suit for ERP implementation.Then,this dissertation uses CMM to evaluate the capability of enterprises' implementation,and the capability of implementation will be divided into five different levels.By comparative study on current mainstream overall implementation and phased implementation,this dissertation brings forward a method model in ERP implementation based on CMM,and suggests that enterprises should use the appropriated implementation method based on enterprises' capability maturity.Through further study,this dissertation gives a special case study on the initial level.For the enterprises which locate in Repeatable or Defined level,this dissertation explains how to choose the fight methods and control their own capability in implementation process.Finally,according to a case study on a fire equipment company's ERP implementation,this dissertation verifies the realistic usefulness of the implementation methodology which is based on CMM.
