Digital Transition Of China's Newspaper In The Age Of Convergent Media

Convergent media is the result of advanced process of deepening media convergence, it is the local exploration of China's media and newspaper industry. While the digilization is the technological premise of media shape. Based on the evolution of digital media as logic starting point, my thesis firstly focuses on the concept of convergent media, and devotes to the mechanism and direction of newspaper transformation under the context of convergent media. Then comprehensively analyzes the reasons, the stages and the contents of newspaper transformation, and further discusses the basic principles, paradoxes and different trends of news production from newspaper reports and its characteristics. Secondly, my thesis changes its method from micro to macro analysis, stresses on the theoretical source of video news production and the innovative path of news practice, puts forwards my preliminary idea of developing the video distribution platform of newspaper industry, and puts forward the media strategies for newspaper to achieve the right of international discourse as well. Finally, my thesis goes back to macro-analysis perspective, demonstrates my theoretical judgments during structural transformation of the newspaper, heavily focuses on the reason and process of newspapers'demise, as well as the function of different digital new media in the new structure for newspaper industry. My three innovative key points are included in the above three parts respectively, the first one is the drawing and analysis of the basic newspaper model under the context of convergent media, the second is the journalism analysis of the newspaper transformation, the third is the change of core element in the structure of newspaper industry.
