A high-speed signal processing board using TMS320C6701 DSP is developed and some researches related to the real-time implementing of stationary target imaging, Moving Target Detecting and Imaging (MTD/MTI) and the raw data compression of a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system are taken on this board. This work is based on the project "A real-time digital imaging processor of air-borne SAR system?of the Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Science (IECAS).In this dissertation, we present our development of the TMS320C6701 DSP, as well as a high-speed digital signal processing board based on this DSP, in this dissertation. We describe our application of this DSP board in the field of SAR signal process and find perfect results. The advantages of the DSP board include its powerful processing ability, compact structure and high efficiency.We describe our implementation of a pre-filter of stationary target imaging processor with this DSP board. Compared to the former solutions, the system performance is improved in many aspects such as the reduction of system complexity, the improvement of run-time efficiency, the decrease in the power consumption and the deduction of the system cost.We present a sub-band filtering method of MTD/MTI. Following this idea, we implement a MTI prototype system based on the real-time stationary target imaging processor developed by the IECAS.Finally, in this dissertation we provide the design and the implementation of an encoder of SAR raw based on this DSP board. The encoding algorithm BlockAltitude-and-Phase-Quantification (BAPQ) and its DSP-based implementation are introduced in the dissertation.Among above works, the ideas in the DSP board hardware architecture design aregeneric, the sub-band filtering method of MTI and its implementation are original. And, some designing thoughts in DSP software used in above works have achieved excellent result too.
