Synthetic Aperture Radar has all梬eather and high梤esolution capabilities and has been highly developed in recent years. Computer science and modern signal processing methods now make it possible for SAR to increasingly apply its techniques in many areas such as remote sensing and mapping, exploration of terrestrial resources, catastrophe forecast, military maneuvering and etc.The technique of real梩ime processing of Synthetic Aperture Radar has been developed since the end of 1980抯, so far as high resolution SAR imaging, for its large quantity of data and strong real梩ime request, require reasonable system structure, high梥peed processing and high efficient algorithms and software. This paper discusses the theory of SAR and it抯 characteristics in application, and provides the method that can be realized in SAR real梩ime processor. Based on the analysis of the characteristic of SAR signal processing algorithms, the processor adopts a kind of efficient structure, which corresponds to the algorithms that are used in the system. Among all the digital signal processing chips, combining with embedded programming logic device, we selected LH9124Y40 which is the advanced DSP as the most important part in the real梩ime processing board of range compressing and azimuth compressing. In addition, this paper discusses the method of interface control on the Extended桪ata桹ut Dynamic RAM, and the application of it iii the data corner turn array processing board, which is valuable to the realization of data corner turn array processing in SAR imaging in the future.
