Mould&dies are key technical equipment for industrial products. In recent decades, mould&dies industry is in the lead of scale in the world as the national economy develops rapidly. However, the management level of mould & die industry of china is still inferior to those in developed industrial country. Production for Mould & Dies usually is a typical one-of-a-kind and make-to-order of production. The production procedure for die & mould is hard to be controlled because the manufacturing process is unstable and orders are unpredictable, and thus management problems, such as delivery delay of moulds&dies' and inferior quality of moulds&dies,frequently occurs. In order to enhance the level of management, it is necessary for enterprises to adopt information technology. By investigating and analyzing more than one handred mould & die manufacturers,it has been found that production management is the management bottleneck. After analyzing some key technologies of Manufacturing Execution System, based on the features of mold industry and the theories of key technologies, the Manufacturing Execution System for mould & die manufacturers has been developed in this dissertation.Considering the condition,this thesis takes the research subject as Manufacturing Execution System for mould & dies manufacturers. Theoretical researches for some key technologies have been conducted systematacially. Based on results of the theoretical researches, a Manufacturing Execution System for mould & die manufacturers has been developed in this dissertation.The influential factors of the production procedure in die & mould companies are analyzed deeply in the thesis and then an improved work-process is given according to the theory of BPI and CE. Based on this, requirements model is presented by the UML method.ISA-95 is the international standard for Manufacturing Execution System. ISA-95 consists of models and terminology for all industries, but can not used in mold enterprise directly. Because of it, a functional model for mold Manufacturing Execution System is structured based on ISA-95.Job shop scheduling, which influences directly on utilization of resource, delivery date and quality of mould and die,is very important for production in mould and die corporation. An algorithm of dynamic job shop scheduling with multilevel priority rule is presented in view of characteristic of production in mould and die corporation. The multilevel priority rule take into account of number of priority of conventional rules, normal pause and right of jobs and then gives priorities of jobs based on an evaluation function.A job shop scheduling problem with a combination processing in mould & die production environment was proposed. Based on define "non- elastic combination processing relativity" and "virtual process ",the problem was simplified and transformed to traditional scheduling problem. Based on the dispatching rules select engine and considered factors of complex production environment, heuristic method was designed.A systemic research of steady-state for the dynamic job shop scheduling problem with jobs releasing continuously has been conducted in this paper. A simulation scheduling test for the purposes of factor analysis is designed and carried out firstly, and then another simulation scheduling test for the purposes of disciplinarian investigation is conducted. Heuristic dispatching rule algorithm is adopted in the simulation scheduling. The test data is processed and analyzed with SPSS 13.0. The results indicate that the dominant factor affecting shop steady-state is utilization level of shop; number of job arrived to shop can be described by a Quadratic preferably. Results proposed in this paper make significant sense for study of simulation scheduling of dynamic job shop scheduling problem and also for optimum design of shop system.A Manufactuing Excution System for die & mould enterprise, is developed using SQL Server Database based on Java EE. The corresponding implementation method is put forward. Further, the system has been implemented successfully in several mould companies, and the result indicates the excellent performance of the system, for example, After this system applied to a mould enterprise in Shenzhen for about one year,number of delayed orders was decreased by about 15% and Production efficiency was increased by 20 to 30%.
