A manufacturer of air-conditioner is taken as research object in our study. The production planning management problems is analyzed, and then the importance and necessity to implement a job shop production management software is introduced.Therefore, an in-depth research of system modeling, design and implementation is proposed in this paper. The specific results are described as follows:(1) The type of production of the target company, organization, business processes,organization of production is investigated firstly, then the specific needs of the company’s production plan for information technology software is concluded. A enterprise level production planning model based on improved MRPII is proposed.Based on this design, a dynamic closed-loop production planning model is proposed, in which the closed-loop production process by collecting feedback information can be achieved by dynamic computing processing capacity, to improve the accuracy of production planning.(2) Considering that both flow shop production mode and job shop production mode exist in the special circumstances of target company, we propose a flow shop scheduling algorithm and a job shop scheduling algorithm separately. Calculation examples and analysis show that both heuristic algorithm principle are clear, the calculation is simple and practical.(3) The detailed design of the system is described based on the proposed production planning management model. The system is divided into workshop task management module, the workshop production scheduling module, shop floor production statistics module and production data management module. The functional segmentation and process design of all the four modules are also proposed, followed by architecture and database design.(4) The system has been developed and implemented in the target company.Calculation test and actual use of the system proved that this system makes production planning result more scientific, and help to strengthen the communication of information between departments. Therefore, the allocation of manufacturing resources can be more rational, the productivity increases.
