As the competition among hospitals has become increasingly forceful, the contradiction between hospital service quality and healthcare demands of the mass people is intensified. The modern hospital management has been in an epoch of cultural management and human-oriented management. How to explore the key elements of hospital management from perspective of human nature and integrate the organizational culture into the core of hospital management so as to increase the job satisfaction has become great concerns of hospital administration.In this study, the basic composition of and the correction between the hospital organizational culture and job satisfaction have been explored, which provide a theoretical support for deepening insight of hospital management.The staffs from four hospitals in Chongqing city became the investigation subjects in the study. A sample of 808 subjects was drawn, and the data were obtained by using the organizational culture scale and job satisfaction scale which were the main investigation instruments. The statistical methods including the descriptive statistics, t- test, single factor analysis of variance and Pearson correlation analysis were performed to test the study hypothesis.There are following parts in this article:In the first part, a introduction are given, in which the research background of hospital organizational culture and job satisfaction are analyzed through literature review, the objective and significance of study are given, the hypothesis and strategies of the study are presented.The theory bases are given in the second part. The conceptions and constitution of basic theories including culture, organizational culture and job satisfaction are defined by literature analysis, which provides a solid theoretical foundation for the study.In the third part, the theoretical constitution and influential factors of hospital organization culture are analyzed. The analysis of constitution of hospital organization culture eis given, the history of shaping of hospital organizational culture in China and the influence of returning of the medicine to humanism are analyzed after literature review.The research methods are described in the fourth part. In this part, how the organizational culture scale and job satisfaction scale used in this study are made is described. The ways of rational selection and analysis of the items of test results from surveys are also presented.In the fifth part, the contents and composition of hospital organizational culture and job satisfaction are mainly studied. The subjects for study wre from 4 hospital in Chongqing, from which 888 effective questionnaires were drawn. The Cronbach's coefficients was employed to analyze the reliability of scales (the mean of Cronbachαis above the average), The validity of the scales was proved by using the exploratory factor analysis.In the last part, the research results are given. According to the results in surveys, the analysis of organizational culture and job satisfaction in various hospitals was made. The difference between them was explored. How the demographic variables results in the difference between them was analyzed. The correction between the organizational culture and job satisfaction was presented at last.
