Genetic Engineering Project Of Innovative Country

The emergence of new and high technology industrial development zone (hereinafter referred as hi-tech zone) is an important economic and social phenomenon in the process of Chinese reform and opening up program. This new entity only has a history of twenty years since the establishment of Shenzhen Science and Technology Industrial Park in July 1985, if we count this park as the first hi-tech zone in China. Though its history is quite short, hi-tech zone has taken an increasingly important role in Chinese reforming program. It has become the main carrier to improve technology advancement and self-innovation, the engine to reconstruct regional economy and alter economic increasing method, the service platform for hi-tech enterprises to compete with international rivals and the frontline for these enterprises to reach the peak of hi-tech industry. The future of hi-tech zone is the key to the realization of Chinese scientific development concept and self-innovation ? strategy, and also the key to long-term prosperity and stability of Chinese economy.The research on hi-tech zone includes multiple subjects, since hi-tech zone is the genetic engineering project of the innovative country. In the past, scholars have made lots of achievements in this field on the base of economy, management, geography and urban planning. But seldom did them study hi-tech zone from the view of the history of Communist Party of China (CPC). However, this thesis is under the guidance of CPC reform theory, adopting successful experience from foreign hi-tech zones and utilizing methods of economy and management such as quantified analysis, comparison analysis and example analysis. It will thoroughly analyze the performance of CPC in the development of hi-tech zone, evaluate the opportunity and challenge in the future and propose specific ideas for the next step of high-tech zones.
