Objective: By constructing evaluation index for clinical competence of pediatric master of nursing specialist,the clinical comprehensive ability can be assessed,to improve thrie clinical service ability and teaching level,thus laying a foundation for cultivating high-quality and applied pediatric nursing talents.Methods:(1)Cultivating the status quo survey: The semi-structured interview method,the Registered Nurse Core Competency Scale,and the Nursing Humanities Care Quality Table were used to investigate the current status of clinical training,core competence and humanistic care ability of the master degree in pediatric nursing.(2)The prototype of the clinical competence evaluation index system of pediatric master of nursing specialist were initially drafted by basing on Taylor's educational evaluation theory,Bloom's teaching target classification theory and nursing humanistic care theory,and using literature analysis,group discussion,semi-structured interviews and questionnaires,and the characteristics of pediatric nursing.(3)Delphi Method: A total of 23 experts from 7 regions of the China were selected to conduct 2 rounds of multi-center expert consultation.(4)Indicator screening and weight setting: SPSS22.0 was used for statistical analysis of data,and the boundary value method combined group discussion were used to the screening indicators,and then the analytic hierarchy process was used to calculate the index weight value.(5)Reliability and validity test: 23 pediatric master of nursing specialist students were selected in the index reliability test and 5 pediatric nursing education and pediatric clinical nursing experts were selected to carry out the indicator content validity test.(6)Measured: Based on the evaluation index system of pediatric master of nursing specialist,the questionnaire survey method was used to investigate the clinical competence of 25 pediatric master of nursing specialist students,and retested after half a year to verify its feasibility.Results:(1)Four major themes were extracted by the interviews: unclear training objectives,lack of assessment tools,irregular clinical teaching,and the quality of teaching teachers to be improved.Core competence survey results showed that the lowest clinical nursing ability scores in each dimension was 2.30±0.73,and the survey of humanistic care ability showed that the lowest score of humanistic care concept was 3.88±0.67.(2)The evaluation indicators constructed include 6 first-level indicators,26 second-level indicators,and 97 third-level indicators.After two rounds of experts' inquiries,experts' consensus opinions were formed.The effective recovery rate of the questionnaires was 95.65% and 100,respectively.%,the expert authority coefficient is 0.838,and the Kendall harmony coefficient is 0.117,0.096,respectively,which are statistically significant(P<0.01).(3)The reliability and validity values are ideal: the Cronbach's ? coefficient of the evaluation index was 0.936,and the content validity was 0.868.(4)Weight setting: The highest value of “professional ethics” in the first-level indicator was 0.184;the highest value of “developing and implementing the work plan” in the second-level indicator was 0.076,and he highest value of “plans to complete the assignment of teachers” in the third-level indicator was 0.038.(5)Measured: The total scores of clinical competence of 25 pediatric master of nursing specialist students were 4.141±0.178,and the total scores of retesting scores after half a year were 4.204±0.127,which was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion: The clinical competence evaluation index for pediatric master of nursing specialist can be used to comprehensively and objectively assess the clinical comprehensive ability of p pediatric master of nursing specialist students,and provide reference for training high-level and diversified pediatric nursing talents.And the evaluation index system needs to be further optimized in the actual application.
