Optimization Of R & D Process Of C Company Based On Stage-gate Management Method

Research and development(R&D)is the basis for enterprises to input fresh blood and improve competitiveness,which determines the success or failure of an enterprise.Founded in 2013,C Company is a modern food deep processing enterprise built by C Group with an investment of 1.9 billion yuan.Although the company has a relatively complete Research and development(R&D)organization and personnel reserve,the company also faces many difficulties and challenges when considering long-term development and adapting to the new situation.In such an environment,if enterprises want to survive in a fierce market environment,they must continue to innovate,improving the efficiency of product research and development,shorten the research and development cycle,and quickly respond to the market demand.This paper firstly sorts out the basic theory of product development management,and mainly summarizes the principle and application of the Stage-Gate System(SGS).Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of the frozen food industry of C Company,the status quo of C Company and the existing research and development(R&D)process of C Company,and finds the existing problems and causes by sorting out the research and development(R&D)process of C Company.Then,based on the Stage-Gate System(SGS)theory,the research and development(R&D)process is set to 5 Stages and 3 Gates,which realizes the overall optimization of the new product research and development(R&D)process.According to the key factors of effective implementation,a feasible implementation plan is developed for the optimization of the enterprise research and development process.Finally,the necessary safeguard measures are formulated for implementation.The research and development(R&D)process optimization plan of C Company,which based on the Stage-Gate System(SGS)method can effectively shorten the cycle of product research and development(R&D),selecting excellent projects more reasonably,and improving the success rate of research and development(R&D)significantly.It also has a certain reference for other food companies under C Group.Meanwhile,it is hoped that this paper can play a reference role for domestic food enterprises in the research and development process.
