With the upgrading of car consumption,users are paying more attention to the comfort of use while pursuing car performance.The braking system is one of the important systems for vehicle safety,and the braking performance is also an important link in the performance of the entire vehicle.In the past,manufacturers have paid more attention to safety performance such as braking efficiency and braking distance in product development.With the increasingly mature braking system products,users’ requirements for braking squeal performance have gradually increased.Optimizing and solving the problem of automotive braking squeal has become one of the important topics for automotive main engine manufacturers.YQ Company is a private company mainly engaged in providing solutions to brake squeal problems for automotive engine manufacturers.Currently,there are many drawbacks in the management process of new product development projects,which restrict the company’s development.YQ Company urgently needs to optimize the project management process for new product development to adapt to the constantly upgrading requirements of customers and the constantly changing market,improve the company’s R&D and innovation capabilities,and continuously create value and generate profits.This article takes the new product development project management process of YQ Company as the main research object.Firstly,using survey analysis and literature analysis methods,applying important theories in the field of project management such as project management theory,process reengineering theory,and gateway theory,it analyzes the existing problems in the current new product development project management process,such as incomplete work content at various stages of the project workflow,lack of unified coordination in the project organization and management process In the process of project cost management,there are some problems such as lax expense approval and cumbersome project information management process,and the reasons for these problems are analyzed in depth.Secondly,in view of the problems existing in the management process of new product development projects,in-depth research has been conducted using project management theory and process reengineering theory,and a process optimization plan has been proposed,which is to classify projects based on the difficulty of product development,clarify the work content of each stage,and improve the project management process.Adjust the level of the project management department and establish a product technical committee to rebuild the project organizational structure.Optimize the project cost management process based on the gate theory.Establish a digital and information management platform based on PDM system to optimize the project information management process.Finally,in order to ensure the effective implementation of the optimization plan,the guarantee measures for the optimization plan are proposed,including obtaining the support of company managers,strengthening the construction of corporate culture,establishing effective incentive and promotion systems,and reasonable and timely process training,to ensure that the new product development project management optimization process can truly be implemented.I hope that this article can improve the management level of new product development projects of YQ Company,provide some reference and reference for other similar companies in China in terms of new product development management.I also hope that more automotive manufacturing companies will pay attention to the development of brake squeal performance,invest more research and expertise,achieve common progress and development in the industry,do a good job in the automotive industry,and let customers walk with the wonderful industry.
