Analyzing the well-known brands D company’s current situation inthe personal computer of consumer electronics industry, this thesispresents a future developing strategy for this company. Productdevelopment strategy, as one of main strategies of company, will changethe existing industry disadvantage and meet the market demand.How to meet the demand of market diversification and rapidness,under the premise of company’s limited resources? This question hasbecome the major challenge of the company’s management. To shortenthe lead time of new product introduction (NPI) and to enhance useefficiency of existing resources is an effective measure can welcome thechallenge above.From the critical and non-critical path, the writer had severallyselected one representative sub-process (Machinery design andmanufacturing process and supply chain management process), and, according to its process characteristics and optimization requirements,choose different analytical method (Performance–importance matrix andcost-benefit matrix analytical method) to analysis. In this process, wediscover some problems in sub-process, which don’t consistent withcompany strategy and optimize the process. Eventually, using processoptimization methods, we improve the important performance and reducecost of sub-process.In this paper, the illustrated sub-process just is a part of the NPIprocess. So, the mentioned process optimization methods have verystrong representativeness, and can be neatly used in other sub-process tooffer the better service to D company strategy.
