A Probe Into The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Rural Elderly Care

In recent years,with the increasingly serious aging of the population in China,the demand for elderly care has continued to surge,relying on the existing elderly care service system,making it difficult to meet the growing demand for elderly care services.Actively addressing the aging population is related to the well-being of the people,national development,and social harmony and stability.Both the country and the local government have placed elderly care services at a strategic height to properly address the issue of regional population aging.Based on this background,this article conducts research on the current situation and countermeasures of rural elderly care,and takes Yanghe Town,Jiaozhou City as a case to try to optimize and improve the "community care" model to solve the elderly care problems in the region.In the process of research,various methods such as literature review,questionnaire survey,comparative analysis,etc.were adopted,and the hierarchy of needs theory,social support theory,and welfare pluralism theory were used as theoretical support to conduct a survey on the demand for elderly care services in Yanghe Town,Jiaozhou City.Through the questionnaire survey,it was found that the current elderly care has inadequate living and living care,insufficient medical assistance supply,and serious lack of spiritual comfort The single type of cultural and entertainment activities cannot fully meet the needs of elderly care services.At the same time,three mainstream elderly care models,namely mutual assistance elderly care model,elderly care institution model,and home based elderly care model,were selected for comparative analysis to confirm the advantages of different models and identify their shortcomings,which are insufficient to meet the elderly care service needs of Yanghe Town,Jiaozhou City.To this end,we attempt to optimize and improve the "community care" model,and choose to design and implement it from the core values,service system,funding system,management system,and development direction.This model will be the main model for rural elderly care,in order to better meet the needs of elderly care services in rural areas and enable more elderly people to enjoy a happy old age.
