In recent years, with the rise of China’s mobile Internet industry, new economic forms represented by logistics, takeout and online car Hailing drivers have also sprung up rapidly in China’s first tier cities such as Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The flexible employment model has also become an extremely important part of China’s economic development. The flexible employment mechanism under the platform economy can create more jobs and bring new vitality to the city. However, the emergence of "Internet +" platform economy,Let the previous labor and employment methods be subverted,so the occupational injury protection of workers is also paid more and more attention, and the occupational injury protection of this special labor group should also be given special treatment. Therefore, the study of occupational injury insurance for employees in new business forms has certain theoretical and practical significance. This paper mainly uses the means of questionnaire survey to investigate the choice of employees of new formats in Jiujiang City to participate in occupational injury insurance.Combined with the questionnaire data, this paper makes an empirical analysis on the factors affecting the choice of employees of new formats, mainly using the disordered multi classification logistic model. The survey found that the employees of new formats in Jiujiang City have a low willingness to participate in occupational injury insurance; From the empirical results, the older the age,the higher the education level, the higher the personal monthly income, the worse the health status and the higher the understanding of the policy, the more willing the employees are to participate in the insurance.Among these factors, the education level, the personal monthly income level and the understanding of the policy are the most influential factors. Moreover, the group with an individual monthly income of "3000-5000 yuan" prefers to apply for occupational injury insurance in the mode of "1 + 1 double insurance";Secondly, people who "don’t know" the new business form of occupational injury insurance policy are more reluctant to participate in insurance.Considering that the personal monthly income has a significant impact on the insurance choice in the above conclusions,we further explore how the personal monthly income affects the insurance choice and the path of influence. After consulting the relevant literature,we decided to introduce the degree of policy understanding as an intermediary variable into the intermediary effect model to test whether there is an intermediary effect in the process of individual monthly income affecting insurance choice. The model test results show that the individual monthly income will significantly affect the new business practitioners’ understanding of occupational injury insurance, and then affect the insurance choice of new business practitioners through the intermediary effect. Finally, combined with the experience of occupational injury insurance system at home and abroad, the results of multi classification logistic model and intermediary effect model, this paper puts forward policy suggestions on improving the current situation of insurance and increasing the coverage of occupational injury insurance.
