The Impact Of Export Commodity Structure On Regional Technological Innovation

Since the 21st century,science and technology have developed rapidly,the speed of information dissemination is getting faster and faster,and the economic exchanges and contacts between different regions of the world are getting closer and closer.There have also been major changes in international trade and production patterns.Previously the production of products was done in one country,but now all production links are made in different countries,and each country can take full advantage of its comparative advantages.In recent years,along with the export of provinces and urban areas gradually increasing,the exporters have been learning constantly in export,improving the ability of technical innovation,but at the same time there are also some problems in our export trade structure.At present,most of China’s exports participate in the division of labor in the global value chain with low added value in the form of processing and assembly or OEM production.In the export,the comparative advantage of labor-intensive products is decreasing,and there is a large gap in technological innovation ability between China’s eastern and central and western regions.Chinese enterprises need to adjust the commodity structure of export to improve the advantage of capital-and technology-intensive products,so as to enhance regional technological innovation ability.Therefore,this paper firstly combs out the theoretical basis related to export commodity structure,regional technological innovation and export’s influence on innovation,and then makes a change analysis and status analysis to the current situation of export commodity structure and regional technological innovation in the past ten years.On the basis of theories and facts,and then with the data of the statistical yearbook of provinces and autonomous regions,the State Intellectual Property Office and other websites,the level of innovation and the change of export commodity structure of the provinces and autonomous regions were statistically analyzed.According to the influence mechanism of export commodity structure on technological innovation,based on the export commodity data of 30 provinces,cities and autonomous regions from 2012 to 2020,the east,middle and west regions are distinguished for comparative analysis.Finally,the conclusion is drawn: The different structure of export commodities will have different influences on the regional technological innovation level.The export of technology-intensive products has a positive promoting effect on the regional technological innovation level,while the export of labor-intensive products has a negative inhibiting effect on the regional technological innovation level.However,the effect has regional heterogeneity,which is not obvious for the eastern region.And for the western region of the most obvious performance.Therefore,according to the research results,policy suggestions are put forward to increase the investment in research and development,develop the economy,optimize the structure of export commodities,improve the export of technology-intensive products,improve the infrastructure construction in the central and western regions and develop education.
